Candida, more commonly known as yeast, is a painful and somewhat invasive infection that often occurs after someone takes a dose of antibiotics. The antibiotics are nonspecific in killing off bacteria therefore they destroy the good - probiotics which live in our intestines and help us digest food - as well as the harmful disease causing bacteria. Birth control, poor diet, stress and too much coffee, soda, white sugar and other poor acidic dietary choices can also lead to an internal environment ripe for a candida infection.
Many Americans and others around the world but in this nation 40 million suffer candida symptoms such as vaginitis, ringworm, bowel disorders, ear and sinus irritation, intense itching, canker
sores and weight retention. The scientists at the university of Opole in Poland tested six commercial lemon essential oils against five strains of candida: Candida albicans 31; Candida
tropicalis 32; Candida glabrata 33; Candida glabrata 35; and Candida glabrata 38.
